Gimmie a Swirly Bucket Hat

Writer's picture: womanwalkingawirewomanwalkingawire

I went on a long rant in my Gimmie a Swirly Beanie pattern post about yarn selection, I'll touch on it only briefly here. I do recommend the 24/7 Cotton by Lion Brand in worsted weight (size 4) for this pattern, however the bucket hat is much more forgiving with different yarns than the beanie because it doesn't taper down with the brim. So, you can really take or leave my yarn recommendation on this one as long as you are meeting gauge.

If you would like to purchase a printable version of this pattern, it is available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops for only a couple bucks. Your support is so appreciated. Thank you.

No problem if you want to use the free version here on the blog. Just a few things first...

The following video is Rounds 1 & 2 to get you started...

Always start with Color A and work in order; A, B, C.

The pattern is worked in a continuous spiral. We will not be joining at the end of a Rnd until we reach the second to last Rnd of the pattern. I recommend using a SM in the first St with Color A at the beginning of each Rnd to help keep track.

Rnds 1-6 are the same for both sizes.
